Carfilzomib Drug Information

Carfilzomib (KyprolisTM) is a prescription medicine used to treat a certain type of cancer called multiple myeloma, which affects specific kinds of white blood cells. This chemotherapy drug is approved for use in adults whose cancer has progressed or gotten worse despite at least two other anticancer treatments.
 
Carfilzomib is given intravenously (through an IV) once a day for two consecutive days every week, followed by a break in treatment. It is common for people who use this drug to develop some type of side effect, such as fatigue, anemia, and nausea.
