Side Effects of Dexlansoprazole

Chest pain, high blood pressure, and heart palpitations are some of the potentially serious side effects that may occur in people who are taking dexlansoprazole. These side effects should be reported to a healthcare provider immediately. However, in most cases, side effects of dexlansoprazole are minor and either do not require medical attention or can be treated easily. Some of these more common side effects include vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain.

An Introduction to Dexlansoprazole Side Effects

As with any medicine, dexlansoprazole (Dexilant™) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider.
(This article covers many, but not all, of the possible side effects with dexlansoprazole. Your healthcare provider can discuss a more complete list of dexlansoprazole side effects with you.)
