Dalfampridine
Dalfampridine is a prescription drug approved to help improve walking speed in people with multiple sclerosis (MS). It comes in the form of extended-release tablets and is usually taken twice a day. Possible side effects include insomnia, dizziness, and headaches. You may not be able to safely use this drug if you have seizures, kidney disease, or certain other conditions.
Dalfampridine (Ampyra™) is a prescription medication licensed to improve walking in people with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Dalfampridine Side Effects
As with any medicine, dalfampridine can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience problems. Most people tolerate it quite well.
If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Some of the most common side effects of dalfampridine include but are not limited to:
- Urinary tract infection (UTI), such as a bladder infection
- Insomnia
- Dizziness
- Headache.
