Claforan Drug Interactions

Oral Typhoid Vaccine
Like other antibiotics, Claforan may decrease the effectiveness of the oral typhoid vaccine. If you have received Claforan recently or are currently using it, your oral typhoid vaccine may need to be postponed for at least a day after receiving the drug.
Probenecid can decrease the body's ability to remove Claforan from the blood, potentially leading to high Claforan blood levels. Talk with your healthcare provider before using these medications together. In general, people taking probenecid should receive no more than 6 grams of Claforan each day.
