Who Should Not Take Cetirizine?

You should not take cetirizine if you are allergic to cetirizine, Zyrtec, or any of the inactive components used to make the medication. Your healthcare provider or pharmacist has a list of the inactive ingredients. Also, you should not take cetirizine if you are allergic to hydroxyzine (Atarax®, Vistaril®), a similar medication.
