Precautions and Warnings With Certolizumab Pegol

There are a number of precautions and warnings with certolizumab pegol to be aware of before beginning treatment. If you have multiple sclerosis, epilepsy, or seizures, tell your healthcare provider before using this medication, as it can worsen these conditions. It is also important to know that the drug may cause congestive heart failure, lymphoma, and dangerously low blood counts (although these problems are rare).

  • Pregnant or thinking of becoming pregnant
  • Breastfeeding.
     
Make sure to tell your healthcare provider about all other medicines you are taking, including prescription and non-prescription medicines, vitamins, and herbal supplements.
