Carbinoxamine

Carbinoxamine is an allergy medication approved to treat various types of allergies, including respiratory allergies, skin allergies, and eye allergies. It belongs to a class of drugs called antihistamines, and it works by blocking the effects of H1 receptors and acetylcholine receptors. The medicine is available by prescription only and comes in both tablet and liquid form. It is typically taken three or four times a day.

Potential Side Effects

As with any medicine, carbinoxamine can cause side effects. However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience bothersome side effects. Some people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
