Carbinoxamine maleate (
Palgic®) is a prescription allergy medication. It is approved to treat a wide variety of
allergies, such as eye allergies, skin allergies, or respiratory allergies (such as
hay fever). When used along with other medications, it can even be used to treat very serious allergic reactions.
As with any medicine, carbinoxamine can cause side effects.
However, not everyone who takes the drug will experience bothersome side effects. Some people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or can easily be treated by you or your healthcare provider. Serious side effects are less common.
Possible side effects of carbinoxamine include, but are not limited to:
- Drowsiness
- Dizziness
- Coordination problems
- Indigestion or heartburn.
