Were you looking for information about Canakinumab? Canikinumab is a common misspelling of canakinumab.
If you have certain rare genetic conditions called cryopyrin-associated periodic syndromes (CAPS), your healthcare provider may prescribe canakinumab (Ilaris®). This drug is used to help reduce inflammation that can occur in people with these conditions. It is given as an injection just under the skin (subcutaneously) once every eight weeks. You may not be able to receive this drug if you have certain allergies or if you are taking certain medications, vitamins, or supplements.
