Drug Interactions With Brentuximab Vedotin

St. John's wort, echinacea, and certain immunologic drugs may cause potentially serious interactions when combined with brentuximab vedotin. Some of these reactions can increase the risk for dangerous complications, such as lung problems, kidney damage, and infections. Your healthcare provider may need to monitor you more closely if you combine this chemotherapy drug with certain products, and adjust your dosages if necessary.

An Overview of Brentuximab Vedotin Interactions

Brentuximab vedotin (Adcetris™) may interact with a number of other medications. Some of the drugs that may react with brentuximab vedotin include but are not limited to:
 
  • Amphotericin B (Abelcet®, AmBisome®, Amphotec®)
  • Bleomycin
  • Certain biologic and immunologic mediations, such as:
