Berinert® (C1 esterase inhibitor) is a medication prescribed to relieve pain and swelling that occurs during a sudden attack of hereditary angioedema (HAE). It comes as an injection that is given into a vein (intravenously) by your healthcare provider; in some cases, you may be able to self-administer the drug as well.
