Bellimumab

If you have systemic lupus erythematosus, your healthcare provider may recommend belimumab (Benlysta®), a prescription medication that is given as an intravenous (IV) infusion. Each dose is given slowly over a 60-minute period. To reduce your risk of reactions, you will likely be given certain medications before each dose. Diarrhea, nausea, and common cold symptoms are some of the most commonly reported side effects of this product.
