There is only one standard recommended dose of bedaquiline, regardless of your age, weight, or other medicines you are taking. As is always the case, do not adjust your dosage unless your healthcare provider specifically tells you to do so.
(Click Bedaquiline Dosage for more information.)
Bedaquiline may react with several other medicines (see Drug Interactions With Bedaquiline).
At this time, it is not entirely clear what to expect from an overdose with bedaquiline. Seek immediate medical attention if you may have taken too much of this or any other drug.
(Click Sirturo Overdose for more information.)
Bedaquiline should be stored at room temperature, in its original container, and away from light. Keep this and all medications out of the reach of children and pets.
If you happen to miss a dose of bedaquiline during your first two weeks of treatment, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. If you miss a dose during weeks 3 to 24, take the missed dose as soon as you remember and then continue with the three-times-a-week schedule.
Do not take a double dose of this medicine to make up for a missed dose. Also, during weeks 3 to 24, do not take more than six tablets (600 mg) during a seven-day period.
This medication is not available in generic form at this time (see Generic Sirturo).
