Atarax Drug Interactions

Alcohol and certain medications may interact with Atarax. Drug interactions may occur if Atarax is taken with acetylcholinesterase inhibitors, phenothiazine medicines, anticholinergic drugs, or pramlintide. These interactions could increase your risk for developing side effects such as dry mouth, constipation, dry eyes, or difficulty passing urine, or lead to potentially serious problems, such as a dangerous irregular heart rhythm.

An Overview of Atarax Interactions

Atarax® (hydroxyzine hydrochloride) can potentially interact with several other medications. Some of the medicines that may lead to drug interactions with Atarax include:
 
  • Alcoholic beverages
