If you have certain types of pancreatic cancer, kidney cancer, or brain tumors, your healthcare provider may prescribe Afinitor® (everolimus). This medicine comes in the form of a tablet that is taken once daily. It works to slow down the growth of cancer cells by blocking the action of certain enzymes in the body. Diarrhea, fatigue, and mouth ulcers are among the possible side effects.
